Registration Tips:

  • Access to explore.wspr.ca and ALL bookable programs may start in a virtual waiting room.
    When it's your turn in the queue, you will be directed directly to the website to proceed with your registration.
    If the system is not overwhelmed, the queue will not be activated.

  • View the Intelli Help Section and the (i) button in top menu bar of your registration account for more information.

Troubleshooting:

  • Waitlist issues: If you experience any issues being put on a waitlist, please call reception at 250-478-8384 for help in processing.
  • Receipt processing: Please be aware that during these times, transactions can take up to 24 hours to complete and for receipts to be emailed.

Lessons: Early Years - Parent & Tot to Preschool 4

Skating lessons run in two 5x lesson sets; October to November and November to December. Registration for the second set of lessons starts on October 22 at 6AM after the set assessment day to ensure students are registering for the correct lesson level for the next set.

Preschool Skating 1


A class for children with very little or no skating experience. All children wear skates for the first class. They will learn the basics of ice safety and to stand and skate by themselves in an encouraging environment.

Preschool Skating 2


This class is for children who can skate independently. Skills include gliding, two-foot jumps, making snow, and walking backwards. Prerequisite is Preschool 1

Preschool Skating 3


Children will learn skills in this course including v-pushes, one foot gliding, two-foot jump while gliding, walking backwards with some glide, two-foot quarter-turns on the spot, and stopping. Prerequisite is Preschool 2

Preschool Skating 4


Skills children will learn in this course include: two-foot glides on a curve, walking crosscuts, backward sculling, and backwards stopping. Prerequisite is Preschool 3

Preschool Skating Parent & Tot


First time skaters get comfortable on the ice with an adult. Parents and children are required to wear a helmet for programs.
