Walking Trails

The Westshore Walkway is a sprawling trail that meanders through the property, used by many individuals and walking groups.

About the Westshore Walkway:

  • Smooth gravel surface
  • Trail wanders in and out of the perimeter around the outdoor facilities
  • Some grades are greater than 6% on the west portion of the trail

Trail Amenities:

  • 35 accessible parking stalls (in various locations)
  • Room for full-size buses
  • Picnic shelter with picnic tables
  • Numerous rest areas
  • Accessible washrooms in the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre and off the parking lot
  • Playground

The trails are close to the Galloping Goose and can be reached by traveling on the road a short distance. Public transit to the trails is possible via Western Exchange Routes 25, 39, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 61.
